RS485/ RS232 protocol is generally integrated with the GPRS module, and the server sends and receives data on the passenger counting system through the GPRS module.
HTTP protocol requires a network in the bus, and the RJ45 interface of the passenger counting system is used to send data to the server through the network in the bus.
3. How does passenger counter store data?
If the RS485 protocol is used, the device will store the sum of the incoming and outgoing data, and it will always accumulate if it is not cleared.
If the HTTP protocol is used, the data is uploaded in real time. If the power is cut off, the current record that has not been sent may not be stored.
4. Can the passenger counter for bus work at night?

Yes. HPC168 passenger counting system itself has occlusion detection. In the RS485 protocol, there will be 2 characters in the returned data packet to indicate whether the device is occluded, 01 means it is occluded, and 00 means it is not occluded.
7. I don't understand the workflow of the HTTP protocol very well, could you explain it to me?
Yes, let me explain the HTTP protocol for you. First, the device will actively send a synchronization request to the server. The server must first judge whether the information contained in this request is correct, including time, recording cycle, upload cycle, etc. If it is incorrect, the server will issue a 04 command to the device to request the device to change the information, and the device will modify it after receiving it, and then submit a new request, so that the server will compare it again. If the content of this request is correct, the server will issue a 05 confirmation command. Then the device will update the time and start working, after the data is generated, the device will send a request with the data packet. The server only needs to respond correctly according to our protocol. And the server must reply every request sent by the passenger counting device.
8. At what height should the passenger counter be installed?
The passenger counter should be installed at 190-220cm height (distance between camera sensor and bus floor). If the installation height is lower than 190cm, we can modify the algorithm to meet your requirements.
